The final meeting of the open dialogues on climate change in Egypt was held at the Theodor Bilharz Institute

It was held at the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute in cooperation with Open dialogues on climate change in Egypt after COP27 to COP28 The final meeting of the open dialogues on climate change Within the framework of the institute’s climate change research programme “Climate changes challenges and solutions” “Climate change challenges and solutions” This took place yesterday, Monday, November 13, 2023, at the headquarters of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute under the care of Prof.  Prof. Mohamed Abbas Shemis

“Using Marine Genomics for Diagnosis Effects from Climate Change on the Red Sea Coral Reef” Prof. Dr. Hani Abdel Salam: Professor of Marine Environment – Department of Zoology – Benha University.

“Role of climate change on aquatic microbial zoonotic diseases (problems vas solutions)” Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ismail Al-Sayed Nour El-Din: Professor of Aquatic Biology at the National Research Center.

Mayer Girgis: Assistant Secretary of the Cairo Engineers Syndicate – Assistant Lecturer at the American University “Climate Justice” Dr. Mustafa Khallaf: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the We Are Egyptians Association for Development.

“Population Dynamics on Environmental Sustainability” Dr. Maha Al-Shalqamy: Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research, Baseera.

“Environmental Governance and Sustainable Development” Dr. Howaida Mahmoud Barakat: Assistant Professor of International Management Sciences – London University of Economics and Politics Director of International Relations Department.

The 2nd session started with a presention under the title of “Constructing New Green Republic” by Dr. Mayer Girgis, the assistant Secretary of the Cairo Engineers Syndicate – Assistant Lecturer at the American University, this was followed by

“Climate Justice” presentation by Dr. Mustafa Khallaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the We Are Egyptians Association for Development. Then

“Population Dynamics on Environmental Sustainability” by Dr. Maha Al-Shalqamy, Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research, Baseera, and

“Environmental Governance and Sustainable Development” by Dr. Howaida Mahmoud Barakat: Assistant Professor of International Management Sciences- London University of Economics and Politics Director of International Relations Department. Last but not least the last session was an open dialogue on “Climate issues and their relationship to biodiversity to achieve environmental sustainability” which was the final session of the meeting before wrapping up with the “Recommendations of the dialogue”.
