“Regional Cooperation Egyptian General Organization for Standardization and Quality”
On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Dr. Khaled Soufi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Organization for Standardization and Quality and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Organization for Standardization ISO, received a delegation from the sisterly State of Libya, namely: Mr. Eng. Khalil Ibrahim Abu Zaqia, Mr. Eng. Jamal Muhammad Al-Jamal, Mr. Eng. Abdul Basit Abdullah Al-Sheikh, and Mr. Eng. Nour El-Din Omran Issa, representatives of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, in the presence of Mr. Dr. Fawzy El-essawy Moustafa Younis
* Professor and Head of Adaptation Physiology Unit – Desert Research Center – Egypt.
* Carbon Footprint and Environmental Sustainability Consultant.
* Expert and Auditor of Greenhouse Gases and Preparation of Carbon Footprint Reports and CBAM Reports.
* Director of Open Dialogue in Egypt after the COP27 Conference.
The attendance of Mr. Samah Ammar, Director of the Training Center at the Authority and Supervisor of the National Institute for Quality, as well as Engineer Reham Badir, Specialist at the Environmental Performance Unit at the Authority, to complete and document the means of joint national and regional cooperation in the field of carbon footprint, as well as in the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) (at the national and regional levels), which aims to ensure fairness in bearing carbon costs between local and imported products in the European Union.
