Solar Italy: progress on photovoltaics, but still slow

But the goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development are still a long way off

But the goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development are still a long way off.

This is confirmed by the data on the connected photovoltaic power accumulated in our country, analyzed by Italia Solare.

Residential air recorded an important boom in 2022 thanks to the Superbonus incentives. 200,000 systems have been installed for a value of over 1 GW.

Since they can no longer sell tax credits after the stop that arrived on February 17, businesses and households are now in great difficulty, as explained by the president Paolo Rocco Viscontini, met at Key Energy at the Rimini fair.

“We hope that, also thanks to our reminders, at least for the existing one this will be ferried over to avoid real damage to families and businesses and therefore looking for solutions to continue this assignment of credits”.

The measures in place are not sufficient and therefore urgent interventions are needed that allow real simplifications, especially for large-scale plants, as well as financial aid to companies for easier access to bank credit.

“If the government allowed a system of state guarantees given to the banks that finance photovoltaic plants, this would be a great help, among other things, very low-risk because if something went wrong, the plant would continue to be an asset with great value” .

At the renewable energy fair, Italia Solare once again turned to the government to ask for a simple, complete and stable framework of rules.

“This is a huge help for the country system because having photovoltaics means being more competitive because it means having much lower bills”.
