Hesham Saad Al-Sherbiny: Sustainable Development Goals and The Missing Goal

Arabian Steel Industries Technical Advisor

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as announced are a global call to action to eradicate poverty, conserve the earth, improve human livelihoods across the planet, protect the environment and climate, .

Ensure that people everywhere enjoy peace and prosperity… All UN Member States adopted these seventeen goals in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development…

We can divide the seventeen sustainable development goals into four axes, first, the economic axis, which includes goals No. 7, 8, 9, 12, second, the societal axis, which includes goals No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, third, the environmental axis, which includes goals No. 6, 11, 13, 14, 15, fourth, the systemic axis, which includes goals 16, 17, …

According to these goals, a framework for these goals has been defined: “People everywhere enjoy peace and prosperity.”

While it was worth man… It is responsible for environmental degradation … It is through those goals that peace and prosperity are sought not only for man, … But… “For all living things”… By achieving a specific goal which is … Environmental justice… Which is … The missing goal with the importance of defining a framework for … “Ecological welfare” … as a framework applicable until what has been changed is restored … Only to achieve polluted luxury … for the human And return to nature as God Almighty created it

To achieve that goal, environmental justice can be defined … which is the beginning of achieving environmental peace… Where environmental justice can be defined …. It’s fair treatment and active participation taking into account all … Living organisms … which were identified in the six kingdoms and not just man… In addition to the five ground systems .

This is done by maintaining the ecological balance on the surface of the globe as the ecological balance is only part of the delicate balance in the system of the universe, and this means that the elements of the entire environment must be preserved …

We must preserve not the existence of living beings, but their interrelationships also … As created by God, ecological equilibrium can be defined as the survival of the components and elements of the natural environment as they were created by God.

Taking into account the components of the ecosystem, which governs the integrated relationship between all elements of the environment such as sunlight, plant, animal, and humans, and the components of the earth’s ocean, the atmospheric ocean, the aquatic ocean, the icy ocean …

The most influential on the environment and its balance is the organism … “Human” … For which the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) seek to achieve “peace and prosperity” only .

When man began to change the environment and upset the ecological balance since the start of the industrial and technological revolution, with the increasing population and as a result of the human use of various machines and technological devices, the negative human intervention in the balance of the environment increased .

According to the studies of scientists, humans have wasted and corrupted the ecosystem a lot and thus resulted in an imbalance in the ecological balance … Therefore, it is necessary to quickly reform and work to quickly return to the right path and quickly … And now… Not tomorrow.
