The K.EY trade fair on the theme of energy will take place in Rimini from 22 to 24 March.
The exhibition area, doubled compared to previous editions, will allow the participation of six hundred brands.
The K.EY – The Energy Transition Expo fair began on 22 March in Rimini. It is the first time that the Italian Exhibition Group event, a point of reference for the energy transition in the Mediterranean area, has taken place in spring, not in conjunction with Ecomondo. This underlines the growing importance of a central theme for the construction of a sustainable future, namely energy. The exhibition area, doubled compared to previous editions, boasts twelve pavilions and six thematic areas dedicated to the six product sectors of the event which, until 24 March, will host around six hundred brands, 28 percent of which come from abroad.
The opening ceremony
“Such important trade fairs in the field of sustainability, such as Ecomondo and Key Energy, which today transforms into K.EY – The Energy Transition Expo, are a stimulus for our area to be increasingly innovative and cutting-edge: there it is a synergistic exchange between the territory, the production, industrial and tourist system and all that these fairs bring to a national and international level”, said Anna Montini, councilor for ecological transition of the Municipality of Rimini, during the opening ceremony. Ceremony also attended by Corrado Peraboni, managing director of Italian Exhibition Group; Vannia Gava, deputy minister of MASE; Stefano Bonaccini, president of the Emilia-Romagna Region; Roberto Luongo, director of ICE; Paolo Arrigoni, president of the GSE.
The words of Vannia Gava and Paolo Arrigoni
“The theme of the energy transition to which this very important fair is dedicated is fundamental, as is that of the circular economy. To achieve the ecological transition we need to simplify the authorization procedures and shorten the times, but also and above all to create environmental culture. It is an opportunity that we cannot miss, to safeguard the environment and the country’s economy, and which we must seize in the right time frame, without exceeding the 2050 goal”. These are the words of Deputy Minister Gava.
“The GSE – said the president Paolo Arrigoni – is increasingly aware of playing a central role in supporting the energy transition, having as its aim today the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency, declined through the management of incentive mechanisms . We will work alongside the operators, and we are also here in Rimini with this mission, to collaborate on a common path that will lead to decarbonisation”.
The third edition of ForumTech, the ITALIA SOLARE event focused on the role of storage systems in the electricity market, and The European Exhibition of Electrical power System, the European event dedicated to the entire ecosystem of generation, distribution, safety and electrical automation.
