DPE WILL BE BACK IN 2023 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEW K.EY

“Systems and Components for Electricity Generation and Distribution” will be on show. Strategic electricity generation and distribution for the EU

The electricity generation, distribution, safety and automation ecosystem finally has an event of its own.

Entitled DPE, Distributed Power Europe, it is the big European trade show, organised by Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with Associazione Generazione Distribuita – Engines,Components, Generators, a member of ANIMA Confindustria, to be held at Rimini Expo Centre from 22nd to 24th March 2023 in conjunction with K.EY, the expo for renewable energies, energy efficiency and every sector involved in energy transition.

A “zero edition” of DPE was already held in November 2019, but now the project intends to expand to the
entire electricity generation and distribution systems and components industry.

Space will therefore be given to generators, internal combustion engines, alternators, light towers, static and   dynamic UPSs as well as to transformers, conversion systems, cables and distribution systems, static anddynamic power factor correction systems, switchgear, mechanical, electrical and electronic components and all the product categories involved in the electricity generation and distribution systems and components industry.

A vast and comprehensive offer aimed at designers, installers, distributors, utilities, consulting and engineering companies, OEMs, contractors, ESCOs, maintenance and rental companies.

A highly-evolving world where innovation and sustainability are becoming increasingly important and where the points of contact with the sectors on show at K.EY are numerous and obvious.

“DPE will aim primarily at European, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries,” explains IEG’s CEO
Corrado Peraboni.

“It will be held every two years and will offer a range of solutions and technologies from the entire electricity generation and distribution systems and components industry that Italy is currently missing, together with a conference and training programme with contents and speakers of absolute interest for the entire electricity generation and distribution sector.

For Italian Exhibition Group, this new exhibition project is a further expansion of the technology area that it already presides over with its other green and tech events and which integrates perfectly with the industrial sectors linked to energy transition already represented at K.EY.”

“The quality and reliability of electricity generation and distribution is an extremely current issue,” says
Marco Monsurrò, president of Generazione Distribuita, “and DPE responds to the demand for an event that
showcases the many excellent Italian and European companies.

Moreover, recent international dynamics have given a significant boost to reshoring the production chain in our sector and, most likely, in the coming years, Asian countries will no longer play a predominant role.

It therefore becomes strategic for Italy and Europe as a whole to consolidate its engineering and production leadership role in the electricity generation and distribution sector. In my opinion, DPE, in its new 2023 edition, will contribute significantly to defining and promoting a competitive and sustainable supply chain.”
